St Paul In New Braunfels Seeking Two New Positions

St. Paul is looking to fill two new key positions on our staff.  Information about both jobs (Director of Music and Creative Arts and Director of Youth and Family) can be found on our website at www.splchurch.org.  The site includes information about how to apply, as well as links to the job description for each position.

The recent fires in central Texas have destroyed over 1,500 homes. Imagine a fire burning through residential areas covering 34,000 acres.

While most needs for food, water, and clothing are currently met, most people are replacing everything they used to own. Area churches are on the ground pitching in.

Martin Luther Lutheran Church (LCMC) in Giddings is nearby and is collecting funds to be given to the Bastrop Christian Ministerial Alliance Fire Relief and/or American Red Cross of Central Texas and/or Giddings Area Care Center (Food Pantry). Hey everyone,

At our meeting in Chicago we started talking about the importance of prayer--and praying for each other and for LCMC. So...I am asking that as many of us as possible, both in our own prayer lives and in our congregations--spend some time this coming Sunday in prayer for our Annual Gathering coming up on October 2nd in Des Moines, Iowa. I ask that you would also include the New Ministry Workshop that will follow the gathering as well. More and more we must become a "People of Prayer"! My prayer is for revival, inspiration, healing and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit!

St. Paul Lutheran of Runge, Texas.

Runge is located west of Victoria and northeast of Kenedy.

Here are some things that are happening at the church, submitted by Myrna Foster, secretary:

Pastor Ron Walter is presently serving as our interim pastor.

This past Sunday afternoon, April 15, we had a Gospel Fest featuring 3 groups who played and sang to attendees from the surrounding area. We had about 100 people attend. 

Easter Sunday we had a breakfast and Easter egg hunt before the 10:00 a.m. service with 65 in attendance. 

We will have a Runge Senior Class bunco party on May 25th and a Runge school teacher/staff appreciation reception on June 1st.  We also hosted World Day of Prayer in February and we held a National Day…
